Athletes train locally with experienced coaches, compete in quality tournaments, and benefit from a structured development environment designed to support long-term growth.

With experienced coaching, structured practices, and competitive tournament play, players spend their spring applying what they learn in real game situations.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the season?
The surge season begins in the last weekend of march and wraps up the first week of May. 5 weeks in length. Just in time for baseball
Who will coach?
PV Elite is proud to be a non-parent coach spring hockey program. Your coaches will be certified and will operate under our High Performance structure
What level is the team?
The surge strive to play at a Silver+ / AAA level at each tournament. Our first tournament will be played at Silver+, the goal is to develop the group up to a AAA level for future events
How many tournaments will we attend?
Surge Teams will attend two guaranteed tournaments. A team vote will be conducted following roster creation to add a 3rd tournament. All tournaments will be within Manitoba, Saskatchewan, North Dakota, or Minnesota
How many times will we practice?
Surge teams will practice 8 times in 5 weeks
Will off ice workouts be included?
To keep costs lower, off ice workouts at MDPC (private PV Elite gym) will be offered on a optional basis
Are jerseys and merch included?
Home + Away jerseys, NOBAD T-shirt and Hat are all included. Players will have an option to buy additional merch for the season at their own cost
I am a goalie, will I be coached?
PV Elite and Surge goalies have the option to add goalie development sessions to their spring
What is the cost?
The base cost to play for the surge is $1000 + GST. Made in 2 payments, no hidden fees ever.
Can I add more development?
Yes! Surge players will be offered opportunites to add off ice sessions, mental performance sessions and position specific development throughout the spring and beyond

ID SKATE Registration open Now
The Southman Surge ID Skate gives athletes an opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive, high-tempo environment. Players will be evaluated through drills and game-like situations designed to highlight their skating, puck skills, hockey IQ, and compete level. This session will help identify players for future Southman Surge opportunities.
