Elite On-Ice Development

Whether you’re chasing consistency or looking to tighten up key areas of your game, PV Elite’s on-ice training stream is built for serious development. We run weekly skills sessions during the season to keep players sharp and intentional, weekend mini camps to go deep on specific areas, and a full summer skills & drills program to push pace, repetition, and compete level when it matters most. Every session is structured, every rep has a purpose, and every athlete gets real feedback — because going through the motions isn’t what we’re here for.

Spring + Summer Skills & Drills

New for 2025, our Skills & Drills program is designed specifically for younger skaters looking to build a strong foundation in a fun, structured environment. Each session focuses on essential hockey skills while keeping players engaged through fast-paced drills and small-area games.

The format is simple and effective:

  • 15 minutes of core skill work — powerskating, stickhandling, passing, and more

  • 15 minutes of flow drills to reinforce the skill of the day

  • 30 minutes of game play to build creativity, compete level, and confidence

It’s the perfect balance of learning and fun — ideal for developing players who want to stay sharp and enjoy the game.

Spring Skills

  • Runs April 9 – May 28 (1 session/week)

  • Final dates to be confirmed by Morden Rec Staff

Summer Skills & Drills

  • Runs July 5 – September 13 (1 session/week)

  • Held Saturday mornings at the Access Event Centre in Morden.

Why Train Skills with
PV ELITE?

Because every rep counts. Our sessions aren’t about flashy drills — they’re about building repeatable habits that show up when the game’s on the line. With experienced coaches, a consistent structure, and a focus on details, we help players develop the tools that actually matter. Less fluff, more function.

Skill Development

  • Weekend Mini-Camps

Our weekend mini-camps combine two focused days of on-ice development and off-ice strength training. Each camp targets a specific skill — giving athletes the chance to sharpen a new part of their game without the long-term commitment of a full program. It’s high-rep, high-focus training designed for players who want to grow.

    Schedule & Structure
Each weekend includes 6 total development hours, split across:

    Friday Evening: On-ice skill session

    Saturday Afternoon: On-ice + off-ice strength & conditioning

Camp themes rotate weekly — from puck protection and edge work to shooting mechanics and hockey IQ — with training built around that specific skill.

    2025 Mini-Camp Dates:

    Powerskating – June 6 & 7
    Shooting / Stickhandling – June 13 & 14
    Body Contact – June 20 & 21
    Body Contact (Repeat Camp) – June 27 & 28
    Powerskating (Advanced) – July 4 & 5

Athletes are grouped by age and skill level for each weekend. Age groups typically include U7/U9, U11, U13, and U15, with groupings adapted to suit the focus of that week’s camp.

    2025 Age Groups
Groupings vary depending on the weekend’s focus but typically include:

    U7 / U9, U11, U13, U15

All athletes will receive tailored instruction on and off the ice, guided by PV Elite’s experienced coaching staff.

  • Weekly Skills & Drills

Designed for serious skaters looking for structure, consistency, and results, our weekly skills program focuses on in-game habits that translate. Sessions run twice per week in small groups, built around high-rep skill work, decision-making drills, and compete-level scenarios that mirror real hockey.

Each registration block includes 6 total sessions over 3 weeks, totaling 7.5 hours of on-ice development. Athletes receive feedback in real time, with a focus on interactive, correction-based coaching—not just flow drills or “hockey cardio.”

    2025 Session Dates

    Session 1: June 23 – July 12
    Session 2: July 14 – August 2
    Session 3: August 4 – August 23
