The PV Elite PhilosophY

A program built for Pembina The Valley — to grow, to compete, and to give back.

PV Elite was born out of necessity — a response to the lack of structured, high-level training in our region. What started as a few guys on the ice has grown into a full-spectrum development system serving players across the Pembina Valley and beyond. Our mission is simple: raise the standard, invest in our community, and build something that outlives us.

Behind every session is a system — built with purpose, not guesswork. We care about details, consistency, and the kind of growth that lasts beyond one season. The same values we bring to the ice, we carry into how we lead, coach, and support the people who trust us to help shape their kids.

Growing the game

In May 2024, PV Elite traveled to Arctic Bay, Nunavut — one of Canada’s most remote communities — to run a hockey camp for local youth. The goal was simple: grow the game where it’s hardest to reach. From gear donations to skill sessions, this trip was about more than hockey — it was about creating access, building community, and showing that high-level development belongs to everyone. It’s a reflection of what PV Elite stands for: making the game better by making it available to everyone.

WHO THEY ARE

Next Shift Network is a team of athletes, coaches, educators, business leaders, and healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting hockey players beyond the rink. Think of them as your personal search engine — ask a question, tell them what you need, and they’ll find the answer, make the connection, or provide the right resources.

WHY IT MATTERS

As an athlete, you pour everything into your game — training, competing, chasing scholarships, fighting for roster spots. But the truth is, hockey doesn’t last forever. Next Shift helps players take the mindset, discipline, and experience they’ve built in sport and translate it into long-term success — mentally, professionally, and personally.

WHAT YOU GET

Support from people who’ve been there, advice and mentorship from experts inside and outside the game. Tools to build confidence, resilience, and life skills and the resources to prepare for life after hockey, while still dominating in it
